Just found out an old friend of mine was randomly shot and is now paralyzed from the chest down. He is 25 years old. What is wrong with the world?
I went to Italy for my birthday weekend, it was spectacular. Even if we did get soaked to the bone being tourists on Friday. It poured so hard that the rain started raining through myself & Matts umbrellas! It was funny though, so it’s all good. I’d also like to mention I ordered a hot chocolate in a cute little cafe and when it arrived it was literally hot melted chocolate in a cup! So so good. Saturdays show was awesome, probably my favourite Trivium show in a long time aaaaaaaand I got my song! Took 6 years but it was worth it. Heck of a birthday present. Oh look its the Duomo :)
I just met a gentleman who is quite elderly, and he informed me he has just returned from Peru. I asked him what took him to Peru, or was it just somewhere he had always wanted to visit. He replied that he had always wanted to go, and he has already been to China and India, and next he is going to Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. He told me he had never married or had any children & one day he just realised he had no-one to leave anything to, so he sold his house & is now on a mission to spend his money on having as much fun as possible before he dies. He then added that he now hopes he doesn’t live to be 103 like his mother as he will have spent it all by then! A genuinely lovely old man. I suggested he visit Vegas :)
I went to the O2 Arena in London this weekend, Trivium were opening for Maiden on Saturday so of course my butt was on a train at stupid am. I love how self contained the Arena is, what with being housed in what was once the Millennium Dome. It has not one but TWO Starbucks (much to Paolo’s delight) and even has its own Nandos which of course we went to for lunch. The arena also has many many bars, and is home to the British Music Experience. If there is ever a zombie invasion, we should all make our way there. We could survive for years and years without ever having to leave….
Anyway the show was awesome, the boys played great. Maiden were awesome as always. They really know how to put on a show (of course, I mean they have been doing it for a long ass time!) and they sure as shit know how to throw an amazing party. More pictures will follow, as Luke was the photog for the day. I gurned into the camera way too many a time, absolutely dreading seeing them hahaha.
